Friendly cashiers and cheap groceries! They even have many Organic and gluten free options at cheaper prices!! I only wish their produce was better sometimes...
Aldi is a large chain of discount supermarkets from Germany. If you travel to Germany or central Europe, you will find these stores easily. I am glad to see that they have a presence in the USA --- and I regret that they do not have stores in Canada. But I drive down to their Ogdensburg NY location a few times a year.
But in the end, given that they offer otherwise un-obtainable European delicacies (at very reasonable prices), I know that I will be a repeat customer there soon -- and I highly recommend a visit.
Always a wonderful spot to shop for groceries ..love the variety ..especially my Happy Farm Swiss cheese ..
Aldis has some great deals, but expect to wait in line for a bit, as there's usually only one cash register open :(

This is a very different grocery-store in terms of layout from the typical North American supermarkets, and it is smaller in size. But Aldi offers a lot of German and European goods that are otherwise hard to find in the US and Canada. Examples include dark German chocolate with hazelnuts, sweet flan-brioche bread imported from France, lots of other European desserts as well as authentic Bratwurst sausages made in Bavaria. And while they have a good selection of frozen meats as well as prepared items in fridges, Aldi would not be my source for fresh produce (fruits/veggies).
